Terrell Owens practiced Monday with the Eagles for the first time since injuring his ankle last month, moving closer to possibly returning for the Super Bowl.

Eagles sources told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio on Friday that, barring any setback in his rehab, Terrell Owens will rejoin team practice — gradually — starting Wednesday.

Even though Terrell Owens might not play in the Super Bowl, you can’t fault him for making the effort.

Philadelphia Eagles receiver Terrell Owens told ESPN’s Michael Irvin on Thursday that, barring an unforeseen setbacks, he will definitely play in Super Bowl XXXIX.

Terrell Owens might try to play in the Super Bowl, ignoring his doctor’s orders. Eagles head trainer Rick Burkholder said Wednesday that Owens plans to continue rehabbing his injured ankle in an attempt to suit up against the Patriots.
