10 Questions from Time.com

Terrell Owens News No Comments »

Time.com does a series of 10 questions from readers to Terrell Owens.  I love the one about what should TO stand for… His answer – Terrific One… Check out his answers below:

Why are you so self-absorbed? Randall L. Dunn, CINCINNATI, OHIO

I don’t feel that way. You can only base your opinion off the media’s portrayal of me if you don’t know me personally. But I definitely feel I have the skills to be able to put me on the plateau I’m on. I’m really confident in who I am, and you know, sometimes you have to be a little selfish to be great in what you do.

Were you offended when your ex-publicist explained that your accidental painkiller overdose last year wasn’t a suicide attempt by referring to your contract, saying you had “25 million reasons” to live? Patrick Hurley, BUFFALO, N.Y.

At that time, there was so much going on that it didn’t really have an impact on me until I got back home and started seeing the media making fun of it. I’m pretty sure it was something she wished she wouldn’t have said. Look, we all make mistakes, just like I have. You just have to recognize the mistake and move on.

Why are wide receivers so high maintenance? Reda Shihadeh, JACKSONVILLE, FLA.

I’m not sure. You know, we’re kind of looked upon as the go-to guys on the team. We’re a very, very intricate part of the offense; we’re expected to put points on the board. I don’t think I’m any different than any of the other great receivers that have demanded the ball or seemed a little high maintenance themselves.

Do you regret how your relationship with quarterback Donovan McNabb turned sour in Philadelphia? David Sansone, PHILADELPHIA

You know what? I do regret some of the things that happened. Donovan is a great guy. Honestly, I do miss being around him. I learned some things from Donovan. It was a bad situation, and if there were a way I could go back and handle some things differently, I definitely would.

If you could choose any quarterback in the NFL to be the No. 1 in Dallas, who would it be and why? Patrick McLeod, PANAMA CITY

Man, that’s a tricky question. I don’t want to cause trouble … O.K., I would say Peyton Manning, then Donovan McNabb. Peyton has history on his side, with his dad being a quarterback, and you can’t say enough about how studious he is in the film room.

Terrell, any thoughts on when the ‘Boys will win their next Super Bowl? Eli Blanton, CITY UNKNOWN

Eli, get your popcorn ready. Get your popcorn ready with a little extra butter. We have a very talented team. I know that just by talent alone, you don’t win games. But we definitely have a group of guys that are ready to bring that sixth Super Bowl trophy to Dallas this year.

If T.O. stood for something other than Terrell Owens, what would it stand for? Madison Welch, ARLINGTON, VA.

I don’t know … ah … Terrific One. Terrific One. I like that.

Is Barack Obama black enough for your vote? Annie Mac’Kie, CALGARY

[Laughs.] You know what? It doesn’t matter what color the person is. May the best person win. Whoever does the best job, then that’s who I’m for. But Obama is making a lot of the right moves.

What’s your favorite TV show and why? Sascha Falahat, SOUTH BEND, IND.

I’m going to mention two shows. The first is America’s Next Top Model. I just like to see how people interact–women can be catty once they’re together. And my other favorite is the channel HGTV. I like to do my own decorating. No, I don’t have a garden.
